About Airport T5

Airport T5 is the first of the King Khalid International Airport stations on Line 4 (Yellow) as you travel out from the city, and it serves Terminal 5 specifically. It is an elevated station within the airport grounds at the far northern edge of Riyadh, and Line 4 — built as the network's airport line — is the only line calling here. The order matters if you are flying: a train coming up from Princess Nourah University stops at Airport T5 first, then carries on to Airport T3-4, and finally to Airport T1-2 at the end of the line. If your flight uses Terminal 5, this is your stop and there is no reason to stay on board. At SAR 4 (about $1.07) for a two-hour Regular class ticket, flat however far you have come, the ride from the middle of Riyadh to the terminal door is hard to beat on price.

It sits between PNU 2 and Airport T3-4 on Line 4.

It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.

Frequently asked questions

Airport T5 is on Line 4 (Yellow) of the Riyadh Metro, which runs from KAFD to Airport T1-2.
Terminal 5 of King Khalid International Airport, and only that terminal. Terminals 3 and 4 have their own station one stop further north, and Terminals 1 and 2 a third station beyond that at the end of Line 4. Check which terminal your flight uses before you get off.
SAR 4 (about $1.07) buys a two-hour Regular class ticket; First class is SAR 10. The fare is flat and time-based rather than distance-based, and it covers metro and buses alike, so the price is the same however far across Riyadh you started. Pay with a darb card.
The metro runs from 05:30 to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 to midnight on Friday. There is no separate late-night airport service, so if your flight lands after midnight — or leaves early on a Friday morning — you will need to arrange another way into the city.
Service at Airport T5 station runs to the Riyadh Metro network hours: from 05:30 to 00:00 Saturday to Thursday, and on Friday from 10:00 to 00:00. Hours change during Ramadan and the Eid holidays and are announced at the time — check the schedule page before you travel.
Yes. There are ticket vending machines (TVMs) at Riyadh Metro stations, and you can buy a card or top it up there or at a ticket office. Note that the darb app does not top up the card balance — full details on the darb card page.
