About King Saud University
Line 2 (Red) begins here, at the western edge of the university district, and every train leaves eastbound along King Abdullah Road. The elevated platform sits beside the King Saud University campus, one of the largest higher-education complexes in the Kingdom, with its faculties, libraries, student facilities and a teaching hospital all inside the grounds. Who uses it is no mystery: students, academics and administrative staff arriving for the day, patients and their families heading for the hospital, and visitors coming in for the conferences and open events the university hosts through the academic year. Because this is the terminus, there is only one direction of travel — east, calling at King Salman Oasis, KACST and At Takhassussi before reaching stc, where Line 1 (Blue) shares the same station, and carrying on across the city to King Fahad Sport City at the opposite end. The line runs 05:30 to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 on Fridays.
It is the end of Line 2; the next station is King Salman Oasis, towards King Fahad Sport City.
It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
