KAFD ↔ An Naseem
Line 6 (Purple) draws an arc from north Riyadh round to the east without touching the city centre, over 29.9 km (19 mi) and 11 stations. It begins at KAFD, the network’s largest interchange, and shares a trunk with Line 4 through Ar Rabi, Uthman Bin Affan Road and SABIC. After SABIC the two part and Line 6 swings south and east through Granadia, Al Yarmuk, Al Hamra, Al Andalus, Khurais Road and As Salam to its terminus at An Naseem. It makes the north-to-east trip a single-train journey, where it used to mean crossing the congested middle of the city. Most of its stations are elevated, so the eastern districts pass by from above for most of the way; SABIC and An Naseem, both in shallow tunnel, are the exceptions. The line serves heavy everyday destinations — Granadia, Al Yarmuk, Al Andalus and the Khurais Road commercial strip, all dense residential and retail districts of east Riyadh — and it meets Line 2 at Al Hamra and Line 3 at An Naseem, which makes it the link between the network’s eastern and western axes on the eastern flank. Six of its eleven stations are interchanges with other lines, the highest proportion anywhere on the network: Line 6 is a connector for movement between the edges of the city more than a line people ride to reach a particular place.

Did you know?
- Line 6 is the only line that links north Riyadh directly with the east without passing through the city centre, sparing anyone travelling from KAFD to An Naseem either a crossing of the congested middle or two changes of line.
- Line 6 shares four complete stations with Line 4, from KAFD as far as SABIC, and the two only part after that — which means you can change between them at any of those four stations, not only at KAFD.
- Six of its eleven stations are interchanges with other lines, the highest proportion on the network, and a fair reflection of its role: a connector rather than a line with a destination of its own.

KAFD — interchange with Lines 1 and 4
The north-western terminus, where three lines meet in a single station; from here King Khalid Airport is on Line 4 and the city centre on Line 1.
Al Hamra — interchange with Line 2
In east Riyadh; from here Line 2 runs west towards stc, Olaya and King Saud University, or east towards Ishbiliyah and King Fahad Sport City.
An Naseem — interchange with Line 3
The eastern terminus and the link to the longest line on the network, putting Al Malaz, Qasr Al Hokm and west Riyadh as far as Jeddah Road within reach.
Shared trunk with Line 4
Ar Rabi, Uthman Bin Affan Road and SABIC are served by both lines; you can change between them at any of the three, and trains run twice as often over this stretch.
