About Ar Rabi

Ar Rabi sits in the northern Riyadh district of the same name, carried on a viaduct with its platforms above street level. Two lines call here at once — Line 4 (Yellow) and Line 6 (Purple) — because the pair share a single trunk that runs from KAFD through Ar Rabi and Uthman Bin Affan Road to SABIC, where they finally part ways. That makes this one shared station rather than two neighbouring ones: trains of both lines use the same platforms, and nobody has to change station or building to swap between them. Around it lies a dense northern residential belt, with neighbourhood mosques, retail parades and everyday services within an easy walk. For residents it works in both directions at once: one stop south brings you to the King Abdullah Financial District, while a northbound Line 4 train runs on to Princess Nourah University and the three King Khalid International Airport terminal stations.

It sits between KAFD and Uthman Bin Affan Road on Line 4. It is a shared interchange station between Line 4 and Line 6: the lines call at the same station, so you change inside it without leaving the gates or paying for a second ticket.

It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.

Frequently asked questions

Ar Rabi is a shared station served by Line 4 and Line 6 on the Riyadh Metro. It is a shared interchange: the lines call at the same station, so you change inside it without leaving the gates or paying for a second ticket.
No. Board a northbound Line 4 (Yellow) train and stay on it: it runs through Uthman Bin Affan Road, SABIC, both Princess Nourah University stops and on to the three airport terminal stations. Do check the line before boarding, though — Line 6 (Purple) trains use the same platform and turn east at SABIC.
At SABIC, two stops north of Ar Rabi. The two lines run together from KAFD via Ar Rabi and Uthman Bin Affan Road as far as SABIC; from there Line 4 (Yellow) heads north to King Khalid International Airport, while Line 6 (Purple) swings east and then south towards An Naseem.
It is elevated, with the platforms carried above street level and reached from the ground below. SABIC, two stops further along the same shared trunk, is the exception here: it is a shallow underground station, where the alignment dips below the street shortly before Lines 4 and 6 separate.
Service at Ar Rabi station runs to the Riyadh Metro network hours: from 05:30 to 00:00 Saturday to Thursday, and on Friday from 10:00 to 00:00. Hours change during Ramadan and the Eid holidays and are announced at the time — check the schedule page before you travel.
Yes. There are ticket vending machines (TVMs) at Riyadh Metro stations, and you can buy a card or top it up there or at a ticket office. Note that the darb app does not top up the card balance — full details on the darb card page.
