Jeddah Road ↔ Khashm Al An
Line 3 (Orange) is the longest line on the Riyadh Metro at 40.7 km (25 mi) and 22 stations, and the last of the six to open, on 5 January 2025. It crosses the city outright, west to east. From Jeddah Road at Riyadh’s western gateway it follows the Madinah Road corridor through Tuwaiq, Ad Douh, Western Station, Aishah bint Abi Bakr Street, Dhahrat Al Badiah, Sultanah and Al Jarradiyah, then dives into deep tunnel to serve Courts Complex and Qasr Al Hokm in historic Riyadh, continuing under Al Hilla, Al Margab, As Salhiyah, First Industrial City, Railway and Al Malaz. It climbs back onto a viaduct at Jarir District and Al Rajhi Grand Mosque and heads east along Prince Saad bin Abdulrahman Al Awwal Road via Harun Ar Rashid Road, An Naseem and Hassan Bin Thabit Street to Khashm Al An. That gives the older western, southern and eastern districts — long dependent on the car alone — a single-seat ride into the centre. Its character shifts with the ground: elevated over the expressways at both ends, where stations are far apart, and deep underground through crowded Deerah, Al Malaz and the historic quarters. It is also the only line to call at Railway, tying the metro to the Riyadh–Dammam train, and it meets Line 1 at Qasr Al Hokm and Line 6 at An Naseem — the two changes that put the rest of the network within reach of the west and the east.

- At 40.7 km (25 mi) Line 3 is the longest line on the Riyadh Metro, and the only one that crosses the city in a single ride — from the western gateway at Jeddah Road out to Khashm Al An in the east, with no change of train.
- Railway station on this line is the network's only meeting point with intercity rail: it serves Riyadh's train station, from which Saudi Railways services leave for Dammam in the east.
- Western Station on Line 3 is one of the four architecturally distinctive stations on the Riyadh Metro, alongside KAFD, Qasr Al Hokm and stc. It was designed as the city's gateway from the Jeddah Road side and as a major interchange with the Riyadh buses.

Qasr Al Hokm — interchange with Line 1
In historic Riyadh, close to the Qasr Al Hokm palace and the Grand Mosque; from here Line 3 joins the network's north–south spine, north to Olaya and KAFD or south through the lower half of the city.
An Naseem — interchange with Line 6
A shared station in east Riyadh and the eastern terminus of Line 6, allowing a run north towards Al Hamra, SABIC and KAFD without going through the city centre.
Railway — the Riyadh–Dammam train
A direct connection to Riyadh's Saudi Railways station, the gateway for train travel to the Eastern Province.
