About KAFD
KAFD is the busiest junction in the Riyadh Metro: one shared station where Line 1 (Blue), Line 4 (Yellow) and Line 6 (Purple) all meet. It stands inside the King Abdullah Financial District in north-west Riyadh, where King Fahad Road crosses the Northern Ring Road, and it is elevated — its building, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, has become a landmark of the district in its own right. Lines 4 and 6 both begin here: Line 4 runs north towards Princess Nourah University and King Khalid Airport, Line 6 heads east towards An Naseem, and the two share a single trunk as far as SABIC before parting company. Line 1, by contrast, simply passes through, between Dr Sulaiman Al Habib to the north and Al Murooj to the south. Its passengers are the towers' staff and their visitors, plus travellers bound for the airport, for whom this is the point where the metro turns into an airport train.
It sits between Dr Sulaiman Al Habib and Al Murooj on Line 1. It is a shared interchange station between Line 1, Line 4 and Line 6: the lines call at the same station, so you change inside it without leaving the gates or paying for a second ticket.
It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.

Like every Riyadh Metro station, this one has ticket vending machines, darb card gates, lifts, tactile guide paths for visually impaired passengers and signage in Arabic and English. Here is what you can normally expect to find.
Interchanges and connections
Line 1 (Blue). Direct trains run towards SAB Bank and in the opposite direction towards Ad Dar Al Baida. The adjacent stations are Dr Sulaiman Al Habib and Al Murooj.
Line 4 (Yellow). Direct trains run towards KAFD and in the opposite direction towards Airport T1-2. The next station is Ar Rabi.
Line 6 (Purple). Direct trains run towards KAFD and in the opposite direction towards An Naseem. The next station is Ar Rabi.
Changing lines. KAFD is a shared station served by Line 1 and Line 4 and Line 6. You change lines inside the same station, without leaving the gates and without paying for a second ticket — as long as your ticket is still valid, changing lines is completely free.
Buses. The darb system covers the metro and the buses on one ticket, and bus routes and bus rapid transit (BRT) services run around KAFD. You do not need a separate ticket to switch between metro and bus while your ticket is still valid.
Taxis and ride-hailing. Taxis and ride-hailing apps (Uber, Careem) are available at the station entrances for short trips beyond the network.
