About National Museum
National Museum is a shared interchange where Line 1 (Blue) and Line 5 (Green) meet — and, for Line 5, it is also the end of the road: the Green Line terminates here. The station lies in the surroundings of the King Abdulaziz Historical Centre, on the southern fringe of Al Muorabba, and is deep tunnel. It does two jobs at once. It is the gateway for anyone visiting the Saudi National Museum and the landmarks of the historical centre around it, and it is the point where passengers coming down the Green Line from Al Wizarat and As Sulaimaniyah step across to the Blue Line, whether to head north for Olaya or south for Al Bat'ha. Because both lines use one station, that change happens inside it — there is no walk out to the street between the platforms. Line 1 has four interchanges in all — KAFD, stc, National Museum and Qasr Al Hokm — and two of them, this station and KAFD, are where another line begins or ends.
It sits between Passport Department and Al Bat'ha on Line 1. It is a shared interchange station between Line 1 and Line 5: the lines call at the same station, so you change inside it without leaving the gates or paying for a second ticket.
It is a deep underground station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.

Like every Riyadh Metro station, this one has ticket vending machines, darb card gates, lifts, tactile guide paths for visually impaired passengers and signage in Arabic and English. Here is what you can normally expect to find.
Interchanges and connections
Line 1 (Blue). Direct trains run towards SAB Bank and in the opposite direction towards Ad Dar Al Baida. The adjacent stations are Passport Department and Al Bat’ha.
Line 5 (Green). Direct trains run towards Ministry of Education and in the opposite direction towards National Museum. The previous station is Ministry of Finance.
Changing lines. National Museum is a shared station served by Line 1 and Line 5. You change lines inside the same station, without leaving the gates and without paying for a second ticket — as long as your ticket is still valid, changing lines is completely free.
Buses. The darb system covers the metro and the buses on one ticket, and bus routes and bus rapid transit (BRT) services run around National Museum. You do not need a separate ticket to switch between metro and bus while your ticket is still valid.
Taxis and ride-hailing. Taxis and ride-hailing apps (Uber, Careem) are available at the station entrances for short trips beyond the network.
