About Uthman Bin Affan Road

Uthman Bin Affan Road is one of northern Riyadh's main arteries, and the station carrying its name stands elevated above the carriageway. Line 4 (Yellow) and Line 6 (Purple) both call here — this is the middle stop on the four-station trunk the two lines share between KAFD and SABIC, a single station serving both rather than two separate ones. The surrounding north-eastern corner of the city mixes residential compounds and villas with commercial frontages and small offices strung along the road itself and through the neighbourhoods behind it. Because the road is among the busiest in northern Riyadh at peak hours, the station gives the people who live along it a straightforward alternative to driving: southbound for the King Abdullah Financial District, northbound for SABIC, where the choice opens up between the airport to the north and the east of the city. Either direction costs the same flat SAR 4 (about $1.07) two-hour ticket.

It sits between Ar Rabi and SABIC on Line 4. It is a shared interchange station between Line 4 and Line 6: the lines call at the same station, so you change inside it without leaving the gates or paying for a second ticket.

It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.

Frequently asked questions

Uthman Bin Affan Road is a shared station served by Line 4 and Line 6 on the Riyadh Metro. It is a shared interchange: the lines call at the same station, so you change inside it without leaving the gates or paying for a second ticket.
Because it sits on the trunk that Line 4 (Yellow) and Line 6 (Purple) share. The two lines run over the same tracks from KAFD as far as SABIC, so both serve this station. It is one shared station rather than two: both lines use the same platforms, and there is no walk between buildings involved.
Elevated — the platforms are carried above street level alongside the road the station is named after. That is the norm along this shared trunk; the exception is SABIC, the next station to the north, which was built as a shallow underground station just before the two lines part.
Take a northbound Line 4 (Yellow) train. It calls at SABIC, then the two Princess Nourah University stops, and then the three airport stations in order: Airport T5, Airport T3-4, and Airport T1-2, which is the end of the line. Check the terminal on your boarding pass before you get off.
Service at Uthman Bin Affan Road station runs to the Riyadh Metro network hours: from 05:30 to 00:00 Saturday to Thursday, and on Friday from 10:00 to 00:00. Hours change during Ramadan and the Eid holidays and are announced at the time — check the schedule page before you travel.
Yes. There are ticket vending machines (TVMs) at Riyadh Metro stations, and you can buy a card or top it up there or at a ticket office. Note that the darb app does not top up the card balance — full details on the darb card page.
