About Al Yarmuk

Al Yarmuk serves the east Riyadh district of the same name from a platform raised above street level, and Line 6 (Purple) is the only service here. It is the second stop on the Purple Line's eastern arc, following Granadia and preceding Al Hamra, where Line 2 (Red) can be joined inside the same station. Al Yarmuk is residential first and foremost — a grid of housing threaded with service streets, mosques and retail parades that exist for the people who live there — and that shapes what the station does. The traffic is the daily kind: commuters out in the morning and home again in the evening, rather than visitors with a sight to see. The practical value is reach. Westbound, the trunk shared with Line 4 delivers passengers to the financial district in the north-west without a change of train. Eastbound and then southbound, the line runs down to An Naseem at its opposite end, where Line 3 (Orange) opens up the centre and the south.

It sits between Granadia and Al Hamra on Line 6.

It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.

Take Line 6 (Purple) towards An Naseem and get off at Al Hamra, the very next stop. Al Hamra is one station shared by Line 6 and Line 2 (Red), so the change happens inside it — you do not leave the station, and you do not buy anything extra.

Yes, with one change. Ride Line 6 (Purple) west to SABIC, change there to Line 4 (Yellow) inside the same station, and stay on it north to the King Khalid International Airport terminals. The SAR 4 (about $1.07) two-hour Regular ticket covers the whole trip, transfers included.
Service at Al Yarmuk station runs to the Riyadh Metro network hours: from 05:30 to 00:00 Saturday to Thursday, and on Friday from 10:00 to 00:00. Hours change during Ramadan and the Eid holidays and are announced at the time — check the schedule page before you travel.
