About As Salam
As Salam sits in south-eastern Riyadh and is served by Line 6 (Purple) alone, from a platform raised above the street. Its place in the network is close to the end of the arc: Khurais Road is the stop before it, and directly after it comes An Naseem, the Purple Line's terminus and its shared station with Line 3 (Orange). The area around it is mostly residential, filled out with the ordinary furniture of a Riyadh neighbourhood — retail parades, mosques, the services people use in a normal week. Being the last stop before the end of the line gives it a particular pattern: passengers use it in two opposite directions with roughly equal purpose. One is south-east to An Naseem, a single stop away, to pick up Line 3 for the city centre and the southern districts. The other is north-west, through Khurais Road and Al Hamra to SABIC and on to the King Abdullah Financial District, the whole way on one train.
It sits between Khurais Road and An Naseem on Line 6.
It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
