About Abu Dhabi Square
Abu Dhabi Square is one of the recognisable junctions of central Riyadh, and the Green Line station beneath it carries the same name. It is deep underground and served by Line 5 alone. The position matters to how the line is drawn: this is where the route settles onto King Abdulaziz Road and takes up the straight southward heading that carries it through Al Wizarat and the government quarter. People use the station to reach the offices and neighbourhoods fanning out from the square, and to shortcut between the northern end of the line at King Salman Park and its southern end at National Museum. Because the square itself is a congested traffic node on the surface, the station gives everyone in the area a way of bypassing it completely, with a journey time that does not change at rush hour. Ad Dhabab is the next stop north and Officers Club the next south; the line's only interchanges are at its two ends.
It sits between Ad Dhabab and Officers Club on Line 5.
It is a deep underground station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
