About GOSI

GOSI is one of those Line 5 stations named for the organisation sitting above it — in this case the General Organization for Social Insurance on King Abdulaziz Road. The station is deep underground and served by the Green Line alone. It falls within the government section of the route, between Officers Club to the north and Al Wizarat to the south, in a narrow ribbon where official headquarters line both sides of the road. Most people getting off here are staff and visitors bound for the organisation or one of the neighbouring departments, so the station's traffic clusters around the start and end of the working day rather than spreading evenly across it. With a flat fare charged by time rather than distance, reaching GOSI from the top of the line costs exactly the same as reaching it from the bottom. There is no interchange at the station; those are at the two ends of the route, at Ministry of Education and National Museum.

It sits between Officers Club and Al Wizarat on Line 5.

It is a deep underground station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.

Frequently asked questions

GOSI is on Line 5 (Green) of the Riyadh Metro, which runs from Ministry of Education to National Museum.
Mostly staff and members of the public heading for the General Organization for Social Insurance and the government departments around it on King Abdulaziz Road. That gives the station a distinct rhythm, with demand concentrated in the morning and again at the end of the official working day.
The fare is flat across the network and charged by time rather than distance: SAR 4 (about $1.07) for a two-hour Regular ticket, SAR 10 for First class. Both cover metro and bus together, with transfers included, so a short hop and a cross-city run cost the same. Payment is by darb card.
No, Line 5 (Green) is the only service. To change lines you need one of the two ends of the route: Ministry of Education in the north for Line 2 (Red), or National Museum in the south for Line 1 (Blue). Both are shared stations where the change happens inside the station.
Service at GOSI station runs to the Riyadh Metro network hours: from 05:30 to 00:00 Saturday to Thursday, and on Friday from 10:00 to 00:00. Hours change during Ramadan and the Eid holidays and are announced at the time — check the schedule page before you travel.
Yes. There are ticket vending machines (TVMs) at Riyadh Metro stations, and you can buy a card or top it up there or at a ticket office. Note that the darb app does not top up the card balance — full details on the darb card page.
