About King Abdulaziz Hospital
Unlike its neighbours, which serve administrative headquarters, this station exists for a healthcare destination: King Abdulaziz Hospital, which stands beside it on King Abdulaziz Road and gives the station its name. It is deep underground, served by Line 5 (Green) alone, and sits between Ministry of Defense to the north and Ministry of Finance to the south. That kind of destination changes the station's rhythm. Where the rest of the government-quarter stops fill up at the start and end of the working day, this one sees people arriving across the whole day — patients, visitors and staff on shifts that do not follow office hours. Its position near the bottom of the line is useful too: National Museum, the Green Line's southern terminus and the interchange with Line 1 (Blue), is only two stops away, which puts the King Abdulaziz Historical Centre within a very short ride. There is no interchange at the station itself.
It sits between Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Finance on Line 5.
