About Al Khaleej
Al Khaleej is a shallow underground station on Line 2 (Red) in eastern Riyadh, named after the district it serves and placed between Al Hamra and Ishbiliyah. The neighbourhood is a quiet residential one, with mosques, schools, services and local retail among the housing, and the station's traffic largely reflects that: out in the morning towards workplaces in the north of the city and the centre, back again in the evening. There is nothing touristic or especially commercial about it. Its worth lies in connection — Al Hamra, the neighbouring station to the west, puts this corner of eastern Riyadh onto Line 6 (Purple) in a single shared station, while eastbound the line runs on through Ishbiliyah to King Fahad Sport City at its end. Carry on west past Al Hamra and Ministry of Education brings Line 5 (Green) and stc brings Line 1 (Blue), so most of the network is two changes away at worst. Services operate 05:30 to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 on Fridays.

Interchanges and connections
Line 2 (Red). Direct trains run towards King Saud University and in the opposite direction towards King Fahad Sport City. The adjacent stations are Al Hamra and Ishbiliyah.
Buses. The darb system covers the metro and the buses on one ticket, and bus routes and bus rapid transit (BRT) services run around Al Khaleej. You do not need a separate ticket to switch between metro and bus while your ticket is still valid.
Taxis and ride-hailing. Taxis and ride-hailing apps (Uber, Careem) are available at the station entrances for short trips beyond the network.
