About King Salman Oasis

Second stop out from the western terminus, King Salman Oasis is an elevated station on the King Abdullah Road corridor in west Riyadh, named after the King Salman Science Oasis a short distance away. That neighbour is a science and education destination built around hands-on exhibits aimed at young visitors, so the station sees a steady trickle of families and school parties, heaviest at weekends and during term-time field trips. The rest of the time the character is ordinary and residential: quiet housing streets, mosques and schools, and the service businesses that line the main road. The result is a mixed traffic of Oasis visitors and locals heading east towards Olaya and the city centre, or west to the university campus one stop away. Fares here are the same as anywhere on the network and are charged by time rather than distance: SAR 4 (about $1.07) buys two hours in Regular class, SAR 10 in First.

It sits between King Saud University and KACST on Line 2.

It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
