About Riyadh Exhibition Center
Sitting on King Abdullah Road in north-east Riyadh, this elevated station on Line 2 (Red) exists for the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center it is named after — the line climbs back above street level here after two at-grade stops. Its traffic is emphatically seasonal. On ordinary days it ticks along serving the surrounding neighbourhoods; on exhibition and conference days it fills up, as visitors arrive in numbers and the metro turns into the sensible alternative to circling for somewhere to leave the car. An Nuzhah is the previous stop coming from the west, and beyond it the line carries on east to Khalid Bin Alwaleed Road and Al Hamra — where Line 6 (Purple) shares the station — before finishing at King Fahad Sport City. Trains run every three to five minutes at peak and five to ten off-peak, so even a large event crowd clears the platform reasonably quickly. Westbound, three stops bring you to Ministry of Education and Line 5 (Green), which is the usual route towards the ministries and the National Museum.
It sits between An Nuzhah and Khalid Bin Alwaleed Road on Line 2.
It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
