About Al Wurud
Set in the Al Wurud district of northern Riyadh, on the King Abdullah Road corridor, this is a deep underground station on Line 2 (Red) — the platform sits noticeably lower than the shallow boxes on either side of it. It is the first stop east of stc, and it serves a settled residential neighbourhood shot through with offices, commercial premises and services along the main road. Its passengers are mostly the people who live here and in the districts pressed up against it, plus staff commuting to the workplaces scattered across the north of the city. One point worth clearing up: Al Wurud 2, on Line 1 (Blue), is a completely separate station — there is no passage between the two, and anyone changing between the Red and Blue lines does it at the shared stc station one stop to the west. The similarity of the names is the single most common source of confusion on this stretch of the line, and worth checking before you set off. Eastbound, the next stop is King Abdulaziz Road, at the junction of the two great arteries of northern Riyadh.
It sits between stc and King Abdulaziz Road on Line 2.
It is a deep underground station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
