About King Abdulaziz Road
Where King Abdullah Road crosses King Abdulaziz Road in northern Riyadh, Line 2 (Red) puts a shallow underground station named after the artery it meets. Standing at the junction of two of the city's main corridors gives it a straightforwardly practical job: somewhere to get off for the offices, government bodies and services strung along both roads, and somewhere to get on for residents of the surrounding districts heading east or west. Al Wurud is the stop behind it coming from the west; ahead lies Ministry of Education, the shared station where Line 5 (Green) can be picked up on the same visit. This is also the last underground stop in this stretch — the line surfaces at Ministry of Education and keeps going at ground level towards An Nuzhah and the east of the city. Going the other way, Al Wurud and then stc put you on Line 1 (Blue) within two stops, which makes this an unremarkable-looking station with unusually good reach. The traffic is a blend of the two things the junction produces: people who work along the corridors, and people who live just off them.
It sits between Al Wurud and Ministry of Education on Line 2.
It is a shallow underground station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
