About Al Muorabba
Al Muorabba is one of Riyadh's oldest administrative districts — the place from which the modern state was run before the city expanded northwards — and the official character has stuck: ministries, government departments and formal streets. Its station is deep tunnel, on Line 1 (Blue), between Ministry of Interior and Passport Department. The district sits midway between commercial Olaya to the north and historic Al Bat'ha to the south, and most of its passengers are staff and people with business at the offices, along with visitors heading for the cultural sites nearby. National Museum is two stops south, where Line 1 and Line 5 (Green) share a station, which makes Al Muorabba a convenient starting point for the historic centre: the King Abdulaziz Historical Centre and its museums are a short ride away, with no change of train involved. Traffic here follows the government working week rather than the shopping hours that fill Al Bat'ha further south, so the platforms are noticeably quieter in the evening.
It sits between Ministry of Interior and Passport Department on Line 1.
It is a deep underground station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
