About King Fahad District 2

The second of the two stations named after King Fahad District covers the southern end, where the district shades into Olaya near the At Takhassusi crossing. It is a deep tunnel station on Line 1 (Blue), between King Fahad District to the north and stc to the south. The character here is transitional: residential streets gradually give way to the office towers and commercial frontages that define northern Olaya. Its users are residents of the southern half, staff from the offices nearby, and anyone who prefers to reach the Olaya corridor on foot rather than drive into it. Its practical advantage is how close it sits to stc, the very next stop, where Line 2 (Red) crosses — west towards At Takhassusi and King Saud University, east towards Al Wurud and the Ministry of Education. Between them, the two King Fahad District stations put almost the entire length of the district within a walk of a Blue Line platform, which is rare for a district of this size.

It sits between King Fahad District and stc on Line 1.

It is a deep underground station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.

Interchanges and connections

Line 1 (Blue). Direct trains run towards SAB Bank and in the opposite direction towards Ad Dar Al Baida. The adjacent stations are King Fahad District and stc.

Buses. The darb system covers the metro and the buses on one ticket, and bus routes and bus rapid transit (BRT) services run around King Fahad District 2. You do not need a separate ticket to switch between metro and bus while your ticket is still valid.

Taxis and ride-hailing. Taxis and ride-hailing apps (Uber, Careem) are available at the station entrances for short trips beyond the network.

King Fahad District 2 is on Line 1 (Blue) of the Riyadh Metro, which runs from SAB Bank to Ad Dar Al Baida.
They are two consecutive Line 1 (Blue) stations serving the same district: the first covers its northern half, the second the southern half nearest Olaya. Both are deep tunnel stations, and neither is served by any other line — the district was simply too long for a single stop.
At stc, the very next station south — one shared station where Lines 1 and 2 meet, so the change happens inside it. From there Line 2 runs west to At Takhassusi and King Saud University, or east to Al Wurud and the Ministry of Education.
KAFD is two stops north on Line 1, by way of King Fahad District and then Al Murooj. That is where you pick up Line 4 (Yellow) for Princess Nourah University and King Khalid Airport, or Line 6 (Purple) for Granada, Al Yarmuk and An Naseem.
