About SAB Bank
Trains on Line 1 (Blue) begin their run at SAB Bank, the northern end of the route, where the viaduct carries the tracks above King Fahad Road in northern Riyadh. The districts around it — As Sahafah, Al Aqiq and Al Yasmin — are relatively recent additions to the city: modern residential blocks sitting behind a frontage of offices, corporate branches and showrooms strung along the highway. The station takes its name from the SAB Bank premises in this office belt. It is an elevated station; the Blue Line stays above street level across its whole northern section and only dives into deep tunnel further south. Most passengers are people working in the northern office corridor or living in the blocks nearby, and they get one practical advantage no other Line 1 station offers: the train starts here, so there is always a seat and only one direction to think about. KAFD is two stops away, and Olaya and the city centre follow on the same train, without a change.
It is the end of Line 1; the next station is Dr Sulaiman Al Habib, towards Ad Dar Al Baida.
It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
