About Ministry of Interior
The government belt between southern Olaya and Al Muorabba is what this station is for, and it takes its name from the Ministry of Interior building nearby — the inverted pyramid that is among the most photographed structures in Riyadh. A deep tunnel station on Line 1 (Blue), it sits between King Fahad Library and Al Muorabba. By this point the line has left the office density of Olaya and started its turn to the south-east towards the historic core, and the surroundings change with it: commercial towers give way to ministries, official premises and administrative streets. Its passengers are mostly civil servants and people with business at the government offices in the area, so its traffic follows the official working day. Line 1 is the only line here; the nearest interchange is National Museum to the south, where Line 5 (Green) begins its run. The ministry building is not a visitor attraction, but its silhouette is unmistakable from the street above the station and worth a glance on the way past.
It sits between King Fahad Library and Al Muorabba on Line 1.
It is a deep underground station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.

Line 1 (Blue). Direct trains run towards SAB Bank and in the opposite direction towards Ad Dar Al Baida. The adjacent stations are King Fahad Library and Al Muorabba.
Buses. The darb system covers the metro and the buses on one ticket, and bus routes and bus rapid transit (BRT) services run around Ministry of Interior. You do not need a separate ticket to switch between metro and bus while your ticket is still valid.
