About Al Urubah
Where Al Urubah Road crosses King Fahad Road, in the middle of Olaya, this deep tunnel station on Line 1 (Blue) sits beneath one of the densest office and retail addresses in Riyadh: administrative towers, hotels and corporate headquarters gathered around the meeting of two of the city's main axes. The Kingdom Centre, the closest of its landmarks, stands on the same corridor. Al Urubah Road itself is a major east–west route, which makes the station a sensible place to get off and finish the trip on foot rather than take the traffic on. Only Line 1 calls here, between Al Wurud 2 to the north and Alinma Bank to the south; the nearest change is stc, two stops north, for Line 2 (Red), while KAFD, further north again, covers Line 4 (Yellow) and Line 6 (Purple). The tunnel runs deep for a reason: it has to pass under one of the most heavily built junctions in the city, so the platforms sit a long way below the traffic overhead.
It sits between Al Wurud 2 and Alinma Bank on Line 1.
It is a deep underground station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
