About Tuwaiq
Tuwaiq station serves the district of the same name in west Riyadh, a large residential area strung along Madinah Munawwarah Road and named after the Tuwaiq range, the rocky ridge that marks the edge of the plateau to the west and south of the city. The platforms sit on the Line 3 (Orange) viaduct, and the Orange Line serves them alone. It is the first stop east of Jeddah Road, the line's western terminus. Local residents use it mainly for the daily run into the centre and the commercial quarters around Al Bat'ha and Al Deerah, and in the opposite direction to reach the outer western fringe. Sitting so early on the route, a journey from here into the heart of the city covers the whole elevated section before the line descends into the deep tunnel at Courts Complex. The surroundings are ordinary Riyadh residential fabric — villa blocks, small retail parades, schools and mosques rather than landmarks — which makes this a commuting station above all.
It sits between Jeddah Road and Ad Douh on Line 3.
It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
