About Western Station
The name is literal: Western Station marks the western sector of the city, along Madinah Munawwarah Road. It stands on the Line 3 viaduct and is served by the Orange Line alone, with no interchange. Around it sits a mixed strip — housing set back from the road, shops and showrooms fronting it — and it falls between Ad Douh to the west and Aishah bint Abi Bakr Street to the east. Passengers from the surrounding blocks use it for a single-seat ride into central Riyadh and the Al Bat'ha area; in the other direction Jeddah Road, the western end of the line, is only a few minutes away along the viaduct shadowing the road. Like its neighbours this is a commuter station rather than a destination, busiest at the start and end of the working day, and its elevated platforms are reached directly from the pavement below rather than through a long underground concourse.
It sits between Ad Douh and Aishah bint Abi Bakr Street on Line 3.
It is an elevated station and runs to the network hours: 5:30 am to midnight Saturday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am on Friday. The SAR 4 two-hour ticket covers the metro and the buses. Below you will find the station on the map, journey times, interchanges and facilities.
